FOR SUCH A TIME AS THESE
God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”. But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your Name may rejoice and trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope : because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself : “The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for Him.”
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and evil man his thoughts.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me, Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, rejoice. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
For who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? For I am convinced that neither death, nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present, nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
